“Remember the pale blue dot”
He said before his sleeve got caught on the screen door.
Before his coffee spilled on his passenger's seat.
Before the twisted forest of Chapter 1 bled into Chapter 2
Before sticky mouths were freed of their insults.
“Remember the pale blue dot”
He said, briefly imagining his occupancy on a speck in the enveloping darkness of the cosmos.

Tara, as usual your ability to illustrate with words is extraordinary. I'm mesmerized by what seems to be a piece of someone's horrible day?

This line: "Before sticky mouths were freed of their insults". Wow.

Did you see the season finale of cosmos? Adam and i were having this ongoing argument about schedules and work, and one night we watched Cosmos as we ate dinner and they played Carl Sagan's monologue about what earth looked like when voyager passed Saturn. (If you haven't heard it, it's incredibly moving
)
And it made us view our stupid problems in a different light. And when he left for work that was the last thing he had said. And we had a terrible day anyway!
